Chasing Infinity

Would you look at that? There’s a whole world up there. Right at our finger tips. I keep trying to reach it but I never can. The stars slip right by me. Like air. Like fireflies.

Sally Ride was the first American woman in space and youngest American astronaut to travel space, leaving for her first mission at just 32. CHASING INFINITY is a one-woman show chronicling the life of feminist, physicist, and lesbian Sally Ride. Commissioned by the Carpenter Science Theatre in 2013, Chasing Infinity is intended to be performed in a museum setting. It aims to educate children and adults alike of the challenges faced by women in the sciences and humanizes an American icon.

Chasing Infinity was first performed in Richmond, VA March 2013. It was revived Autumn 2015.
